How is Tony Stonem Represented?
Tony Stonem is a character off the the TV show skins. He is from a middle class family. This representation of Tony is from the first 5 minutes of series 1, episode 1.
The mis en scene shows that Tony Stonem isn't a stereotypical teenager for his age but he has got some similarities to other teenagers. Ways in which he is a stereotypical teenager are that he causes trouble by annoying his Dad every morning, also that he is curious and this shown when he is watching the women across the street from his bedroom window. Ways in which he is not like a stereotypical teenager are when we the audience see his bedroom; his room is very neat and tidy, also he draws are very organised. This tells us that he might be a perfectionist which shows that he likes to be in control. He's room isn't like ordinary teenagers which would have very unorganised rooms that are very untidy.
Tony is also eager and this is shown in the first scene of the episode when he is already awake before his alarm goes off.
Also in the clip it shows Tony in his bed and his quilt which has a naked woman and man on it. Tony is lying in between the women and the man and this shows that he may be bisexual or confused about his sexuality.
The clip also shows that Tony is intelligent, this is shown when he is reading a book which ordinary teenagers might not read.
